Just finished reading "Mr. Sammler's Planet" by Saul Bellow. It is a beautiful story of a holocaust survivor, who relives his horrors in the holocaust of his daily life in New York in his late age. Saul draws beautiful parallels between the old and the new, but it was a difficult book to get into. Once past the 100 pages, the book turned out to be quite stunning. A quintessential book from a Nobel prize winner.

Hi Ram..this sounds like a good book, so I'm adding it to my wish list. I've read alot of books about the Holocaust, and yes, they can be sad and depressing, but I admire their strength and spirit while being in such terrible times.
