100 hours in 2009

Completed 100 hours of running in 2009, which was my goal for the year. Managed to pull it off with determination in the end. Target for 2010 - 150 hours.

Easy Run - Wednesday, 30th December 2009

Did an easy run of 100.12 minutes today, completed two full rounds of the usual route, not tiring in the end, even having few more reserves of fuel for some more.

Sunday Long run - Sunday, 27th December 2009

Did a long run of 2 hrs 17 mins 16 seconds today, started from Marine Drive on the churchgate signal junction towards NCPA and back all the way to Babulnath corner and went all the way up the Kemps Corner flyover, Pedder Road to Haji Ali signal turned back same way, turned at Babulnath corner back into Marine Drive all the way to NCPA and returned to Charni Road (under the flyover) - nearly the Girgaum chowpatty and ran back to the Charni Road station. Longest time ever achieved today. Wanted to break the 2.15 hours mark and did that comfortably, took all the uphills on the Kemps Corner flyover and back on the Pedder road uphill.

Easy Run - Saturday, 26th December 2009

Did an easy run of 100.43 minutes today which included about 21 minutes inside the inorbit park. Was bit stiff in the early stages due to yesterday's hill sprints, but later on got better.

Hill Sprints - Friday, 25th December 2009

Finally managed to do hill sprints today, did 10 rounds of 100 metres each, maintained same speed throughout the 10 rounds, jogged back to the start from the top. overall satisfactory workout today. Total running time 56.10 minutes

Easy Run - Tuesday, 23rd December 2009

Did an easy run of 78.20 minutes today, after yesterday's tempo bit of strain to start with, had a slight right leg niggle but comfortable in the end. Did a bit of pacing in the end and about 100 m sprint at the finish.

Tempo - Tuesday, 22nd December 2009

Did a tempo of 35 minutes today, total running time 71.43 minutes, maintained good pace throughout the tempo, was able to sustain 35 minutes tempo, cool down for 18 minutes.
